I visited the Pearl on a sunny, but very windy, Saturday. It is on the Riverwalk and has a Saturday market. Unfortunately, we got there a little late for the market.
The old brewery has been converted into shops, restaurants, clubs and events spaces.
The CIA (Culinary Institute of America) recently opened a school there. They have an attached bakery/lunch shop. You can sit and see into the teaching kitchens and watch the students cook and bake.
This awesome wooden spoon chandelier was in the bakery. Yes, they are just regular wooden spoons. Quite the conversation piece.
Beautiful pastries!
